How to export your JPMorgan Chase transactions
- Sign in to your online banking and open the transaction history or statement page for the account you want to review.
- Choose the date range you want, then use the download or export option.
- If your bank asks for a format, pick CSV, Excel (.xlsx or .xls), or PDF — Zoption reads all of them.
- In Zoption, open Import, choose the file, and check the preview before you save anything.
What Zoption reads automatically
Zoption looks for these headings in your JPMorgan Chase file and maps them for you:
- posting date
- description
- amount
- debit
- credit
- category
- type
- currency
- Chase and JPMorgan exports use a Posting Date and a Details or Description column. Zoption matches both and reads a single signed Amount column.
- This export is usually in a foreign currency. Zoption stores Philippine pesos only and does not convert currencies, so confirm the amounts are already in pesos before you save them.
What happens after you choose a file
Nothing is saved until you say so. Zoption shows a preview with every parsed row, flags rows it cannot read, warns you about likely duplicates, and commits your import as a single unit — so a partial import can never leave your ledger half-updated.
Once saved, the entries feed your category spending, budget progress, six-month trend, and savings rate. Amounts are stored as whole centavos, so totals stay exact instead of drifting the way floating-point sums do.
Your data stays yours
Zoption does not connect to JPMorgan Chase and never asks for your banking credentials. You upload a file you already downloaded, and every record lives in your own isolated workspace. Your workspace starts empty and contains only what you choose to add.
Common questions
My Chase statement is in US dollars. Can Zoption convert it?
No. Zoption stores Philippine pesos only and does not convert currencies. Convert the amounts to pesos before importing, or keep foreign-currency accounts separate from your peso budgeting.
Are card and checking exports handled the same way?
Both use the same Posting Date, Details, and Amount headings, so the same preset covers them. Check the preview to confirm the columns were matched the way you expect.
