Import BPI statements into Zoption

How to export your BPI transactions

1. Sign in to your online banking and open the transaction history or statement page for the account you want to review.
2. Choose the date range you want, then use the download or export option.
3. If your bank asks for a format, pick CSV, Excel (.xlsx or .xls), or PDF — Zoption reads all of them.
4. In Zoption, open Import, choose the file, and check the preview before you save anything.

What Zoption reads automatically

Zoption looks for these headings in your BPI file and maps them for you:

• transaction date
• transaction description
• amount
• debit amount
• credit amount
• category
• type
• currency

• BPI exports use either a single Amount column or separate Debit and Credit columns. Zoption detects which one your file has and switches automatically.
• Headings such as Branch, Transaction Description, and Running Balance are recognised, so the description column is not mistaken for an amount.

What happens after you choose a file

Nothing is saved until you say so. Zoption shows a preview with every parsed row, flags rows it cannot read, warns you about likely duplicates, and commits your import as a single unit — so a partial import can never leave your ledger half-updated.

Once saved, the entries feed your category spending, budget progress, six-month trend, and savings rate. Amounts are stored as whole centavos, so totals stay exact instead of drifting the way floating-point sums do.

Your data stays yours

Zoption does not connect to BPI and never asks for your banking credentials. You upload a file you already downloaded, and every record lives in your own isolated workspace. Your workspace starts empty and contains only what you choose to add.
